A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of trying on the Tazlab Safe-T-Stretch Collar on our 2 shiba inus- Gido and Mochi. Along with other dog owners alike, safety for my dogs are priority. Tazlab recognizes the importance of canine safety, while maintaining a high level of practicality and functionality in the products we stand behind.

The Tazlab Safe-T-Stretch Collar is available in ½-inch and 1-inch widths. The ½ -inch collar is available in four lengths, ranging from 10-inches to 13-inches. The 1-inch collar is available in 10 lengths, ranging from 13-inches to 22-inches. Eight contemporary color schemes are available, with equally contemporary names: Blaze Orange, Gunks Green, New River Blue, Red Rocks Red, Wild Iris Purple, Lover’s Leap Pink, Gunison Black, and Otter Cliffs Olive.

The design of the Tazlab Safe-T-Stretch Collar is centered around the safety and comfort of your dog. Studies have shown that choking is one of the leading causes of accidental deaths among our four-legged family members. Collars can become snagged on a fence, a protruding branch, or even a door knob.

Although no collar is 100-percent choke proof, the Tazlab Safe-T-Stretch Collar is as good as it gets in ensuring the safety of your Pooch. The collar is equipped with a comfort-stretch lining that stretches a few extra inches in between the leash tabs, and just enough for your Pooch to back his or her head out of the collar in the event of an unfortunate snag.

As mentioned earlier, our trusty product testers, Gido and Mochi, received their Tazlab Safe-T-Stretch Collars a couple of weeks ago. We got 1-inch widths, size 15″, in New River Blue and Gunks Green. In the past two weeks, these collars have been through three 4+mile hikes and a sudden rainfall, not to mention our daily walks and occasional visit to the park to see their pals, and they still look brand new!

We have also noticed that the Tazlab Safe-T-Stretch Collar can also be a great every-day-use collar, not only for its safety attributes, but for the obvious comfort that is made possible by the stretch-lining. To top it off, the contemporary color schemes are eye-catching, and will give any Pooch an added sense of style.

The Tazlab Safe-T-Stretch Collar is fast becoming one of our favorite collars, and we are sure you’ll feel the same too. Stay tuned for our next reviews on Tazlab and their fine product line along with others.

As Gido and Mochi (sadly) grew out of their puppy phase, we started to take them outdoors more on hikes, the beach, and longer walks and runs. We also decided to change their collar to one that offered a greater degree of durability, comfort, and security. The market is fortunately saturated with good, high-quality dog collars, but the one that got our attention was the EzyDog Neo Collar.

If you read my other articles, I am a huge fan of EzyDog, but for obvious reasons as they provide the utmost comfort for my 2 shibas. The EzyDog Neo Collar is constructed of core nylon webbing that is entirely wrapped with soft rubber neoprene, the same type of material that is used in wetsuits or cold-weather gloves. Velcro is used to adjust the length of the collar, and a hi-quality buckle is used to secure the collar in place. A non-corrosive D-ring allows for the attachment of your favorite dog leash, while a separate gear clip is used to attach your Pooch’s ID tags. Reflective lining is sewn into the entire length of the Neo Collar for added visibility at night. To top it off, the cool EzyDog logo is incorporated on the buckle and on the collar to let your Pooch’s pals know who’s cool.

The EzyDog Neo Collar is approximately 1-1/4″ inches wide, and available in 6 highly adjustable sizes:

XX-Small 11″ – 12″

X-Small 12″ – 13.5″

Small 13.5″ – 15.5″

Medium 15.5″ – 18″

Large 18″ – 21″

X-Large 21″ – 24.5″

The Neo Collar is also available in 7 colors: Red, Blue, Black, Chocolate, Green Camouflage, Arctic Camouflage, and Pink Camouflage.

For our bigger-sized four legged best buddies, EzyDog created the Big Boy Neo Collar, which has the same quality characteristics as the regular Neo Collar, but with a little more heft! The Big Boy Neo Collar is approximately 1-3/4″ wide and varies in length from 17.5″ to 32.75″:

Large 17.5″ – 21″

X-Large 21″ – 24.5″

2X-Large 24.5″ – 28.5″

3X-Large 28.75″ – 32.75″

The Big Boy Neo Collar is available in 4 colors: Red, Black, Green Camouflage, and Pink Camouflage.

Gido and Mochi currently have the Medium-sized Neo Collar in Blue and Chocolate. Although they own several collars, the EzyDog Neo Collar is their primary collar when we’re out on a longer trail or doing something that’s more physical or strenuous. This is just personal preference, but we feel that the collar offers an exceptional level of comfort and security, which are key factors when we’re out in the middle of nowhere on our long weekend hikes.

The Neo Collar is extremely easy to adjust (and thanks to their increased appetites and shedding phases, we’ve had to adjust them quite often recently), and easy to put on and take off. One of our favorite features is the separate gear clip that you can use to attach an ID tag or two, a blinking light, or other accessories. This is an ingenious feature that you don’t see in other collars, as it allows for the attachment of multiple accessories that do not get in the way of the D-ring that is and should be used only to attach a leash. This past weekend, we found a river while making our way back to our car on a new hike. It was hot and humid, so we decided to treat our boys to a swim that lasted almost a good hour. By the time we made it back to our car, Gido and Mochi were still drenched from ear to tail, but their EzyDog Neo Collar was well and dry! They’ve had their collars for almost a year now, and they still look as new as the day we got them. In fact, their Neo Collars still look as if they haven’t been broken in.

EzyDog has a full line of great gear for dogs, and this collar has quickly become one of our many favorites.
